Based in Englewood, CO, Meridian Medical Company is a leading provider of homecare equipment and services in their market area. The Company specializes in the respiratory therapy (RT) and the durable medical equipment (DME) niches of the home care market.

Jerry Baker, president and founder of Baker & Associates, noted that Ken Dalton, the owner of Meridian, had a long history in the Respiratory/ DME industry. Mr. Baker said it was a very professional relationship and a fast moving transaction. In late 1993 when Baker reached an agreement to represent Dalton and it took less that three months to identify the acquirer, negotiate the deal, complete the due diligence, and close the transaction, which exceeded Dalton’s expectations. Baker said that was a truly good arrangement for all parties. Meridian sales were $10 million during the past 12 months of operation and they have over 3,000 oxygen patients. The transaction value was in excess of $20 million.
