Executive Management Software & Services, Inc. (EMSS) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa was acquired by Inter-Continental Computing, Inc (ICCI) in 1971 with 10,000 shares of ICCI common stock (whose price was $7.50 at the time of closing) from Robert Dale Jones and James Kenney. After the sale to ICCI, Robert Dale Jones became EMSS’s president.

Through his talents and loyalty to Jerry, Robert Dale built his former company into one of the nations most respected software firms serving the property & casualty insurance industry. Annual sales generated by the company eventually exceeded two million dollars for software applications, installation, training, software enhancement, and consulting.

Insurance Systems of America (ISA), located in Atlanta, Georgia, eventually acquired EMSS in 1977 from ICCI. Robert Dale was instrumental in arranging this transaction. The sale provided ICCI approximately two million dollars in initial payment and royalties paid for over five years on sales of the property & casualty insurance application software & systems acquired by ISA.
